We’ll be on the Sunset Strip right down the street from the Whisky A Go Go.

The Byrds kicked off the folk rock explosion at Ciro’s (now The Comedy Store) and their audience started the free-form hippie dance style. Dylan got on stage with them on March 26. (As pictured on the home page.)

The Beatles’ visited with the Byrds and Elvis …
Brian Wilson fought to steer the Beach Boys toward ambitious, baroque pop …
Love formed in the parking lot of Ben Frank’s (now Mel’s Diner) …
Also in town were Frank Sinatra, the Mamas and the Papas, Sonny and Cher, and Barry McGuire.
The event will probably last 30-45 minutes, then we can go across the street and grab a drink.
