In March the Tamla-Motown Revue toured England, featuring the Supremes, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, the Temptations, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, and Stevie Wonder. Hard as it is to believe now, the tour had a difficult time filling the theatres. Dusty Springfield wanted to help promote the Detroit musicians in the U.K. and convinced the British pop show Ready Steady Go! to devote an entire episode to them.
